Stephen White is an independent songwriter based in Spain, writing original songs for artists, publishers and A&R.
He writes across a broad range of contemporary styles, from pop, country and singer-songwriter material to R&B, hip-hop, dance and international crossover.
Stephen is not pursuing a career as a performing artist. His focus is simple: writing songs that other artists can make their own.
He has played in bands himself and has continued to develop his songwriting through numerous songwriting courses at The Songwriting Academy and in London. He was also a finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition.
He writes lyrics, melodies, chord progressions and song structures and is comfortable writing to a specific artist, genre or brief.
The catalogue currently comprises a broader collection of original songs, with the ten songs featured here representing a selected introduction to his songwriting.
About the Demos
These recordings are demonstration versions of the songs, not intended as finished commercial masters.
Stephen writes the underlying lyrics, melodies, chords and song structures. AI-assisted production tools may be used in developing demonstration recordings where appropriate.
The use of AI is limited to the demonstration process; the songs themselves are original human-created compositions.
Original development recordings are retained as part of Stephen's songwriting records. These include voice-message recordings made during the writing process, transferred from his phone to his HDD and stored within the relevant song folder alongside work notes and lyrics.
Where a genuine recording opportunity arises, the song can be developed or re-recorded with human musicians, producers and artists as appropriate.
